Authorities: 2 people hospitalized following Downtown Brooklyn shooting involving officer
Two people were taken to the hospital after a shooting that involved an officer in Downtown Brooklyn Saturday night.
Authorities say it happened on Flatbush and Lafayette avenues just before 8 p.m.
Police tape could be seen blocking off the areas that surround the Brooklyn Museum.
Although authorities had yet to release more information as of Saturday night, one person involved in the shooting suffered a cardiac arrest.
While it had not been confirmed, some bystanders told News 12 officers fired shots at one person. It was also unclear as to whether this person fired shots at the officers at any point.
The two people were taken to Methodist Hospital shortly after the incident.
