Federal and state authorities announced on Tuesday indictments against more than a dozen reputed members of the “Own Every Dollar" street gang.
This gang is reportedly affiliated with the Trinitarios gang that is connected to the 2018 murder of Junior Feliz.
Officials say the indicted members committed five murders, 12 attempted murders, nine robberies or attempted robberies, and sold drugs, including fentanyl.
Numerous detailed acts of violence allegedly performed by members of the Own Every Dollar gang were cited – including the shooting death of Nicolas Vargas in Kingsbridge in 2018, as well as the murders of Richard Dominguez and Israel Cabrera on Sedgwick Avenue in 2020.
The gang was also connected to the killing of Anthony Savarese in University Heights in February.
Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell says this is another step in the right direction to making the streets safer for New Yorkers.
