Authorities: Man charged with sexual assault of young girl; DNA evidence led to charges

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has announced a man from East Orange has been arrested on sexual assault and child endangerment charges.
The alleged incident happened last July.
According to authorities, Abdul Crowley, 44, is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
Officials say the juvenile victim says she immediately reported it to a family member.
DNA evidence that was collected ultimately led to charges being issued against Crowley. He’s charged with three counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of sexual assault, one count of aggravated criminal sexual contact and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. 
He's currently being held at the Essex County jail pending arraignment.
