A woman was fatally struck by a car Wednesday in Brooklyn, authorities say.

They say the incident happened right before 10:30 a.m. when the 53-year-old victim was hit by a 2008 Hyundai that was driving in the opposite direction of traffic on Glenwood Road in East Flatbush.

News 12 is told the car had just been hit by another vehicle that fled the scene just minutes before.

The driver of the Hyundai is now facing manslaughter and assault charges.
