People gathered in Brooklyn Friday to remember and celebrate Breonna Taylor on what would have been her 27th birthday.
People released balloons in Taylor’s name.
Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville police in her sleep while at home on March 13.
It happened during what officials say was a failed drug sting.
Protesters also continued to march after New York City’s 8 p.m. curfew. They passed by the Brooklyn Bridge just after it closed for the night and then headed past Borough Hall, stopping to take a knee and hold a moment of silence.
The crowd chanted ‘Black Lives Matter’ and held up signs.
