Members of the Bangladeshi-American Community Council say the man who attempted Monday's terror attack in a Manhattan transit walkway is not one of them.
They rallied Tuesday on the streets of Parkchester to denounce suspect Akayed Ullah.
Investigators say the 27-year-old was radicalized around 2014, carrying out the attack in the name of the Islamic State group.
They say Ullah set off a homemade pipe bomb filled with screws during the morning rush to maximize casualties.
Those rallying held up signs reading "Terrorism Will Spill Over If You Don't Speak Up," "Peace For All" and "America For All Of Us."
The Bangladeshi-American Community Council says it will be ready to condemn any future terror acts and call on leaders.
