The Bay Ridge Greenmarket has returned after a week of putting safety precautions and social distancing measures into place.
The Greenmarket is organized by the environmental nonprofit, Grow NYC. Organizers say the purpose of the market is to make sure that residents have access to fresh, healthy food options.

Due to the pandemic, safety measure have been implemented at the market so customers can remain safe.
Everyone who comes to the market is required to wear face masks, farm stands are separated by at least 10 feet to reduce congestion and social distancing is encouraged by chalk boxes that were drawn on the ground for shoppers.
Organizers are encouraging people to come out and shop, as long as they do so as safely as possible.
"On a typical Saturday we would want everybody to come with their families and bring their dogs and now we're asking them to send one person to shop," says Liz Carollo, of Grow NYC. "And leave your dog at home, and come in and do it quickly, and no social gathering and that's tough for us but we want to provide as safe a place to shop as possible."
The market will be open every Saturday at 8 a.m.
