‘Be NYC Startup Intensive’ to provide Black entrepreneurs with resources, support to launch businesses

The New York City Department of Small Business Services launched a new effort aims to take an idea and turn it into a business. 
The instructional course is called “Be NYC Startup Intensive” and its goal is to provide Black entrepreneurs with resources and the support they need to launch and grow successful businesses. 
The instructional course is online and will last 11 sessions. The sessions will cover topics like networking, learning about funding opportunities and the components of a strong business plan. 
Those participating in partnerships with the course are Mastercard, Ernst and Young, Goldman Sachs and the Brooklyn Navy Yard. 
The deadline for applications is Sunday, May 2.
