Sesame Street is helping tackle the growing mental health crisis in children with a major new initiative.
After lockdown and remote school, a lot of children are still struggling to deal with difficult emotions, leading the U.S. surgeon general to declare youth mental health the “crisis of our time.”
That PSA is part of a whole new slate of Sesame Street content -- from shows to podcasts to educational resources -- aimed at teaching children and families about mental health.
Rose-Marie Trulio, senior vice president of curriculum and content at Sesame Workshop, joined be Well to talk about the initiative.
