5h agoBelmont businesses hosted the annual Ferragosto Festival, which brought thousands of people to Arthur Avenue on Sunday.
The festival is held to support local businesses in the Belmont section of the Bronx. Traditional Italian foods, including the fan-favorite sausage and peppers, were sold. Festival goers were also treated to live music and entertainment.
"In Italy, the Ferragosto Festiva is celebrated as the end of the harvest season but here on Arthur Avenue we celebrate the businesses here who are showcasing their traditional Italian food,” said Alyssa Tucker, Executive Director of the Belmont BID.
