A veteran corrections officer has died from the coronavirus, according to the Correction Officers Benevolent Association.

A veteran corrections officer has died from the coronavirus, according to the Correction Officers Benevolent Association.
They say Quinsey Simpson worked for the department for almost 20 years.
The benevolent association released a statement saying in part: "He embodied the very best qualities of New York City's boldest and was extremely well-liked by his fellow officers. His tragic death from this invisibile disease has left our heats broken,. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time."
