A dancer from the Bronx has made her Broadway debut in the revival of “Carousel, the Musical.”
Amar Ramasar is no stranger to the main stage, he is a principal dancer for the New York City ballet.
He is taking on the lead bad guy 'Jigger Craigin' in the 2018 Broadway revival of “Carousel.”
The role marks the dancer's Broadway debut.
While acting is new for the professional dancer, the choreographer says he added dancing to Ramasar's character for the first time in Broadway history.
Despite all of his success, Ramasar says he attributes who he is to his upbringing and his roots.
