Marsha Darbouze emigrated to the U.S. from Haiti when she was only 7 years old. Despite having to learn a new language from scratch, she quickly rose to the top of her class.
Not only did the senior at Young Women's Leadership Academy get into Columbia -- she got a full-ride. Darbouze says her parents were thrilled to learn she'd be going to an Ivy League school.
Darbouze says she's excited to challenge herself in the fall. She already has a plan for post-grad: to go to med school and become a neurologist.
