A Bronx salon owner is offering spa day-themed birthday parties for girls.

Owner of Hair House Dana Fiore has 17 years of experience working in top salons in Manhattan, but returned home to the Bronx and opened her own shop.

"There is something about getting your hair and makeup done that makes people feel more beautiful, and it doesn't really matter if you are 5 years old, or 13 or 40," Fiore says.

Her ‘house party’ spa days offer a girly experience for birthday girls ages 4 and up.

"Some get hair done, some get nails done, and they have a number of crafts that they can choose from," she says.  

Once parents drop their children off at the salon, the kids call the shots.

Fiore says it's a fun day for the girls and change of pace for her.

"When you have the kids in the chair, they are just funny because they come up with the cutest things and they are so innocent," she says.
