There's a new ride-sharing service in the Bronx run by Uber but using bikes.
There are currently 200 bright-colored Jump bikes available in the Bronx.
To use, the rider must download the Uber app and then track down and unlock the bike and ride.
"Of the top four or five destinations that folks are taking the bikes, three are transit stops, bus stations, subway stations and train stations," says Kyle Thomas, of Jump.
Jump says the program is in the pilot phase and is working with the city's Department of Transportation with hope of expanding.
Jump officials tell News 12 Bronx commuters have already made around 15,000 trips.
They claim nearly 10 percent of Jump riders in the Bronx use the service three or more times a week.
News 12 reached out the city's Department of Transportation about the possibility of Jump expanding and is waiting to hear back.
