Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says frigid air and wind chills in the single digits and teens will stick around through Thursday.
The frigid air mass will stick around through Sunday for New York City, with dry and extremely cold weather lasting until snow returns on Friday.
Friday's expected snowstorm is expected to bring at least two inches of snow and impact the evening commute, with reduced visibility and slushy road conditions. Temperatures begin to spike up early next week.
Tonight (BITTER BLAST): Mostly clear and bitterly cold, still slick and slippery. Lows near 22.
Thursday: Clouds and sun, frigid. Highs near 33. Lows near 29.
Friday: STORM WATCH Cloudy, very cold. Light to moderate snow showers. Highs near 31. Lows near 19.
Saturday: BITTER BLAST Dangerously cold, sun and clouds, a bit breezy. Highs near 25. Lows near 18.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, very cold. Highs near 32. Lows near 24.
Monday: Sunny, still cold but seasonable. Highs near 38. Lows near 32.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, chilly, not too cold. Hello 40s! Highs near 44. Lows near 37.
