Black Bodega hosted its grand opened Saturday, and is ready to bring deli favorites and new jobs, into Morrisania.
Former record label executive Alize Jones, his brother, Robert Forbes, and childhood friend, Rusheed Nash, say opening up a store together is a dream come true. The three grew up in Morrisania and say they wanted to start a business to give jobs to the community.
The owners say they know the pandemic has been tough on everyone but they're hopeful about the business.
Bronx-born rapper Peter Gunz, Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson showed their support for the bodega.
