The city announced the launch of the "Blue Highway" facility at the Fulton Fish Market port in Hunts Point on Tuesday.

The city says this is an effort to limit the amount of trucks on New York roadways and significantly improve air quality.

Organizers say this project will shift some transportation of produce and packages to barges via waterways, instead of trucks.
