BOE: 193,000 New Yorkers participated in early voting over the weekend

Day three of early voting began at 7 a.m. with thousands of New Yorkers expected to head to the polls.

Day three of early voting began at 7 a.m. with thousands of New Yorkers expected to head to the polls.
Over the weekend, thousands of people were motivated to head out and vote early.
The Board of Elections says over the weekend more than 193,000 people casted their vote throughout the city. Brooklyn saw the highest turnout with 61,315 people voting.
In the Bronx, 30,484 people waited in line and casted their vote.
Despite COVID-19 concerns, people were determined to have their voices heard.
Some voting early told News 12 they're voting early because they don't trust the system and want to make sure their vote is counted. Overall, despite the long wait times people seem to be inspired and motivated to participate in this year's election.
