A restaurant owner in Mott Haven opened his establishment after noticing the lack of Peruvian options in the area.
Los Nisperos Seafood serves up sea-to-table dishes as well as authentic meat dishes like Lomo Saltado -- a Peruvian staple.
One of the goals the owner says the restaurant had was to bring the Peruvian food to those from the Caribbean, who perhaps have never been to the country.
Los Nisperos Seafood also serves ceviche with corbina, cilantro, a special Peruvian marinade called "tiger's milk," onions and other chef secrets.
