A onetime Arthur Avenue T-shirt shop is now serving up Italian food with a Spanish twist.

Tapas Italiano, located in the Bronx's Little Italy on Arthur Avenue and East 186th Street, opened its doors just about two years ago.

The family owned restaurant serves tapas-style dishes. Chef Gabrielle Dalgado says she grew up in the kitchen learning from her grandmother. 

Dalgado says the family's goal is to introduce their culture's recipes to the neighborhood, and they have over 18 items on the menu.
