Tuesday was graduation day for the fifth graders at Zeta South Bronx, and Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson joined the occasion as a keynote speaker.
It marked the first time the school held a graduating ceremony for the fifth-grade class. Sixty-six students walked the stage as their elementary journey came to an end.
"I'm so proud of them, I've got to see them grow. I'm just so excited," said Nicole Baldner, associate director of Zeta South Bronx.
Educators also thanked the students for inspiring them during the ceremony.
