A breast cancer survivor from Port Chester, who's been through nine rounds of chemo and numerous surgeries, is finding a way to give back.
Jenna Russo has now launched a GoFundMe for Puzzle Peace.
The non-profit will donate puzzles to people battling breast cancer.
Russo says the activity helped her through some of her toughest moments. "I know a lot of people said they workout and they do this, but I felt so sick I couldn't do that. So I said to my mom one day, ‘you know what, I'm going to try to give as many puzzles as I possibly can to people going through what I'm going through’ and I hope that they find the healing in it, like I did."
So far, she's raised more than $17,000 of her $30,000 goal.
Next week, she'll be delivering around 40 puzzles to Soul Riders in Rye Brook.
If you're battling cancer and would like some help, you can reach out to Russo directly via Instagram at puzzlepeace_LLC.
