A Bridgeport family is pleading for help as they search for their missing son.

Hector Marquez says his son Miguel Angel Afzal has been missing for a week and he doesn't know where he could be.

Marquez says Afzal told him he was going to his friend's house. He says it is difficult to think about what could have happened to his son.

The family describes Afzal as 22 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 110 pounds with dark brown hair. They say he has three tattoos on his right arm and ear piercings.

The family asks if anyone with information about Afzal to contact Bridgeport police.

Police said they do not yet have any leads in this case.
