Bridgeport Police are investigating the city's fifth homicide of the year.

It happened in the Hollow section of the city on Catherine Street.

Police say they received multiple calls at about 6:45 p.m. Monday to Catherine Street between Washington and Harral avenues.

There were reports of gunfire and a man bleeding inside a car.

Police say they found 18-year-old Leon Richardson in the driver's seat of a Honda with a head wound.

Richardson was later pronounced deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives were working throughout the night conducting interviews and reviewing surveillance videos.
