Bronx students were in the spotlight Thursday when they were honored on Bronx All Star Education Day.
The Yankees hosted over 10,000 students to celebrate their achievements.
Many Yankee officials addressed the crowd, as well as a few students, who received awards for standing out in their schools.
"Students in the Bronx really go through a lot of things in life, and it's important that they know that there's people out there that know their concerns and know that they want to be heard,” said Chris Montero, a Bronx student honoree.
After the event, students got to stay at the stadium and watch the Yankees beat the Seattle Mariners 5-0.
