A Beauty Queen from the Bronx will be representing New York at the National American Miss Pageant in Florida.
Jordan Sanchez was crowned the 2025 National American Miss New York earlier this month in New Jersey. She won several competitions at the state level, including Dream Model, Casual Wear Modeling and Best Resume.
“I like to say that pageants are a marathon and not a sprint and they very much are a sport even if people don’t see them as that,” she tells News 12.
Sanchez believes that attending the Bronx High School of Science eventually prepared her for Harvard University. She is also a spoken word poet and activist who has performed for the United Nations and March for Our Lives.
The National American Miss Pageant will be happening during Thanksgiving week.
