The biggest bookworms in the Bronx were at the Parkchester Library on Tuesday for World Book Day.

Bronx resident Marissa Morales reads and writes books. Morales says she wrote her first book in first grade and hosts a monthly book club at the Parkchester Library.

For World Book Day, Morales held a writing workshop to help inspire other aspiring storytellers.

“Everybody has a voice, and everybody has a perspective. Books are so important because you can go and be in different people's shoes, different cultures, different places of the world,” said Morales.

Morales says she hopes that more Bronx residents use World Book Day to take advantage of the many resources that the city’s libraries have to offer.
