Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson’s Bronx Veterans Advisory Council hosted a veterans appreciation day luncheon on Wednesday as part of Bronx Week festivities.

The event honored and recognized Bronx veterans' service to our country and their continued dedication to the community.

"This is Bronx Week, we started Monday May 8 through Sunday May 21 and we are recognizing all things wrong, including our veterans, those that have served in the United States military, representing our country defending our nation's freedoms and our values, and we have thousands of veterans that live right here in the Bronx,” said Gibson.

The next Bronx Week celebrations will be the centenarian event and silent disco event on May 12.
