Hundreds of Bronx residents lined up for some relief from the brutal cold at the first coat giveaway put together by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson.  

“Temperatures are dropping really low in the 20s and then of course we had snow a few days ago and we're projected to get snow again,” said Gibson. “It's during this season that we are reminded of the important of really providing.” 

Families present at Bronx Borough Hall for the giveaway were also able to stock up on other necessities and get connected to community groups while enjoying some food and fun.
