The public is getting a look at a man wanted for allegedly burglarizing a Bronx home, thanks to surveillance video from a neighbor.
Police are hoping the video will help them find the men who burglarized the home near Saint Lawrence Avenue and East 174th Street Monday. Resident Amanda Mateo says 40 minutes was all the time the men needed to ransack her home while she made a trip to a store.
Mateo says the suspects' vehicle was parked nearby, waiting and watching. When she left, the thieves made their move, using an alley and climbing in through a window. Mateo says the men took about $8,000 worth of cash and jewelry. "There was a very special necklace my mom gave me," she says. "It was actually broken, so I'm surprised they took it."
Authorities have released a picture of the suspects' dark-colored BMW, along with a video of the man who actually looted the house.
