What do people think the future of the economy will be with Donald Trump set to become president again?
A nationwide survey found people who voted for Kamala Harris were driven by the fate of democracy, while Donald Trump voters were concerned about immigration and inflation.
Small business owners on Arthur Avenue say inflation prices have made the cost of running a business difficult.
"The cost of products has gone up significantly. We can't keep raising the cost of our prices because then people can't afford to come out and eat." said Regina Delfino, owner of Mario's restaurant on Arthur Avenue.
She says she feels hopeful that Trump will make positive changes for the American people and businesses.
Giacomo Santangelo, an economics lecturer at Fordham University, says Trump's economic plan would do more harm than good.
"The problem with the Trump tariffs and the problem with a lot of the Trump economic plans is they're talking about how this is going to benefit U.S. corporations in 10, 15, 20 years from now. In that 10 to 15 to 20-year transitional period, the people that are going to pay the price for that are consumers and current small businesses." said Santangelo.
