Bronx Catholic school parents packed buses Tuesday and headed to Albany to rally for a tuition tax credit.
The parents are urging state lawmakers to pass two bills that would establish a tax credit of up to $3,000 for parents of kindergarten to 12th-grade students. The tax credit would go to parents whose children attend private school and could be used for tuition and other educational expenses.
The Bronx parents joined others from around the city and state in favor of the tax credit. If passed, the amount of the credit would be based on income.
