In honor of Veterans Day this past Saturday, one Bronx community health center held an event on Monday to ensure veterans are getting the care they need.

Veterans were invited to the Union Community Health Center for a wellness event, where they underwent free audiology and dental screenings.

The group of veterans even had a reiki session, and veterans like Andre Cleveland strolled through the multiple booths to receive information from providers on physical and mental health services for vets.

Cleveland says he’s active in the veteran community and that many veterans do not know the resources that are available and often times free for them to use.

Union Community Health Center says their veteran liaison program helps to set events for veterans year-round to keep them connected to their services.
