The Bronx is celebrating the Fourth of July with their own cultural flair at the 20th Annual St. Thomas Parade in Williamsbridge.
It’s a day to remember not only the country’s founding, but the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament.
Each year, St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Forane Church hosts a parade in Williamsbridge to honor the apostle and to celebrate the Fourth of July. Organizers say today’s parade is a blend of their Catholic faith, their Indian heritage and their American pride.
