The Bronx Cowboy will be performing his first solo show this Friday.
Wakefield native AJ Silver, whose real name is Angelo Iodice, grew up riding horses in Pelham Bay Park and now has made a career out of it.
Silver's brother took him to a rodeo at Madison Square Garden and he immediately took to the craft.
"I'm going to brag a little bit because I was good," Silver says. "And I was the only trick rider at the time that was performing the difficult and dangerous stunt passenger under the belly of a galloping horse."
In the past two months, Silver has performed in Las Vegas and Italy and he's now bringing a special show back home to New York City.
The show is called "A Cowboy from the Bronx" and will highlight his childhood in the borough.
Silver will be performing at Dixon Place in Manhattan.
The show is sold out, but he says he will be back in the Bronx to perform.
