Bronx DA’s 6th annual 5K aims to end domestic violence

The annual event was hosted by the Bronx district attorney and co-sponsored by the Bronx borough president and the New York Yankees.

Advocates and supporters gathered at E 161st Street in the Bronx on Saturday for the sixth annual 5K Run/Walk/Roll to raise awareness for domestic violence. 
October is Domestic Violence Awareness month and attendees were encouraged to wear purple in support.  
The annual event was hosted by Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark and co-sponsored by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and the New York Yankees. Multiple organizations were in attendance to offer information and resources regarding domestic violence. Survivors also shared their stories.
