The Bronx District Attorney's office is holding a rally Friday to show support for both the Asian American and Pacific Islander and Jewish communities.
The rally comes after a string of violence has plagued both communities.
There have been vandalisms against synagogues in Riverdale and there have also been several unprovoked attacks on Asian Americans in New York City and the country.
The rally Friday will also have a resource fair afterwards to provide information.
In a rare show of bipartisanship, the COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act passed through Congress and President Joe Biden signed it into law Thursday.
The bill aims to address hate crimes against Asian Americans throughout the pandemic.
