A Bronx man drumming to his own beat his whole life is coming back to his roots as he heads into a new chapter of his life.
Anthony Anderson, 27, traveled the country and even Africa a few times with a rock and roll band, but is now moving into a solo career.
His passion started on Hoe Avenue where he and his 18 siblings grew up.
At 9 years old, his father knew he had a musical gift as he was banging on pots and pans.  His dad, also a drummer, taught him how to play but ended up passing away that Father's Day.
“It feels like every time I hit the stage he's always with me,” said Anderson.

Setting out on a new chapter of a solo career isn't easy, but using his Bronx roots, his father's spirit, and his drumsticks, Anderson has set his sights high.
“Touring with the biggest artist, opening for massive events, showcasing my talent for thousands and thousands of people.”
