As Black History Month kicks off, the Bronx Empowerment Program held its Celebrating Our History event at Evander Childs High School Tuesday.
The students delivered history lessons on Zoom to their peers and local leaders.
One of those leaders was Bronx Congressmember Jamaal Bowman who says empowering young minds is essential to building a community.
