A Bronx family is seeking justice after their loved one was stabbed outside a smoke shop last weekend.
Vernon Gowdy, 54, is accused of fatally stabbing Kenneth Fair, 59, in front of the Magic 7 Smoke Shop on July 30.
The NYPD says Fair had gotten into a heated dispute with the store manager. Police say Gowdy -- who is a store employee -- came from behind and stabbed Fair in the neck during the altercation.
“Seeing the defendant, it was very hurtful," said Vernell Moore, a Fair family member. "I just want justice for my daughter and her father. He did not have to go out this way.”
Gowdy made bail Friday after a judge set it at $5,000.
