First full weekend of December officially upon us, but it doesn't really feel like it out there at all. Was that 60 degrees for Saturday? Really nice. Can't complain a little wet though today. Yeah, it was a little wet a couple of hours ago, but at least we got some dry conditions to kick off the weekend. That will be quickly changing by Sunday. Here's what you can expect. Waves of rain starting Saturday night into Sunday night. So that's going to be a long duration storm where we are expecting rounds of rain, steady rain with a few downpours possible. So you're gonna have to watch for some puddles ponding on area roadways. And if you live somewhere that has poor drainage, you're probably going to see some more of that localized flooding. In terms of tomorrow morning, we're starting off chilly. Temperatures near 46 degrees areas of fog will be to move into our area. It will lift and clouds will still be with us throughout the afternoon with temperatures topping out near 58 degrees muted sunshine. So not seeing that sunshine that we like to see, but at least it's going to remain dry. During the evening, it is still going to remain dry with clouds, but showers do arrive late after midnight. That's where we start to see some of that wet weather pushing through. But at least we got these unseasonably mild temperatures. Our average high 49 degrees. We're not going to see the forties until the midweek. And that's also where we start to see there. I say some festive flakes returning back to our area. But in the meantime, let's just enjoy the dry weather. So some clouds and fog to start our Saturday, it is going to remain dry throughout the day. Temperatures will be topping out near 58 degrees and we got some rain.

I can. And if you're getting out of town for the weekend, you'll run into some rain just about everywhere. On Sunday, Saturday is going to be the dry day and the warmer day, but Sunday will feature some very soggy conditions all around the northeast. There's going to be a much larger system coming our way and this is going to be packing a lot more rain than what we just had. So what's where tomorrow? No rain in sight. They don't have to about the rain gear, but it will be a mostly cloudy day. A little bit warmer with temperatures in the fifties. I would still grab something warmer to where early in the day by the afternoon, you may not need all these layers, but it's a nice day. So get out and enjoy it. We don't often see temperatures like this in December to December. This is meteorological winter and it's a great time to do some star gazing. So we do have a couple of things heading our way for the month. Mercury at its greatest elongation on December 4th, best time to view the planet, which is very, very difficult to see because it's always low on the horizon. Look for that after sunset, the earliest sunset of the year is coming our way as well. That will be December 7th and we also have the gem, its media in a couple of weeks by December 13th and 14th. So stay tuned. I'll have more on that coming your way in the meantime, here's that extended forecast. Temperatures are mild for several days. Fifties right through the weekend. I think Monday and Tuesday are trending drier. Wednesday. More clouds could be a shower and then it's colder after that back into the forties. And that's a look at your local weather.

First weekend of December. But hey, it feels like November still. We have mild air in place. Unfortunately, this is gonna keep fog around for the first half of the morning, especially for Westchester Rockland, maybe Putnam County getting in on widespread fog for the rest of the morning too. So basically the lower Hudson Valley has the best risk for that temperatures warm up pretty quickly. We're talking near 50 by the time you hit lunch and we could, in places like Yonkers and S A 287 hits 60 degrees what in December? But again, it does come with a lot of cloud cover. So it's not a beautiful looking day. There'll be some peaks of sun this afternoon today though. Really isn't a big issue. If you have afternoon plans. The fog is a slight problem for morning plans tonight. We do have rain mostly after midnight. So if you're a late night owl, you're getting in on that Sunday morning, it's a wash right from the start. Mostly white rain, but there will be pockets of heavy rain throughout the morning and the afternoon on Sunday. I really don't see much dry time if any during the daylight on Sunday it goes soup weather, it goes gloomy and, you know, it's not cold but it's gonna feel cold when you have that kind of rain just so widespread across the area. Monday morning commute. Not that we want to talk about the commute on a Saturday morning, but either way Monday morning does look good if you're planning it. Ok. How about rain again? Not much if any today. But tomorrow I am expecting half of an inch to an inch of rain across the Hudson Valley. So that's pretty decent. But it happens over the course of the whole day, 100% guarantee it does rain. But again, we're not expecting this to be a really heavy rain. It's just a persistent steady rain all day. Temperatures drop into the forties for the upcoming week.

It's gonna cool down again in the 10 day. Let's talk about the bigger issue, which is going to be the rain tomorrow. So we do have cloudy skies all weekend, obviously a fog out there this morning too. So that's creating some visibility issues. But on Sunday, it is a steady rain for a good chunk of the day. So today is the pick out of the weekend. There'll be some peaks of sunshine this afternoon around lunch, but not much of it. Temperatures are in the mid ff maybe even upper fifties if we get enough sunshine, but I would not count on the sun. It's gonna be a possibility that we, you got a few breaks in the clouds, but most of the day is pretty cloudy. This is 5 p.m. the sun is already set and temperatures are still in the fifties. So you don't need the heavy winter jacket. Just a light jacket. Today will do dinner time is mainly dry, but after 89 o'clock, there could be some spritzes and stray showers. It's a all day full LG wash out on Sunday, light rain in the morning, check this out. Temperatures are in the fifties in the morning, that's above average for the afternoon at this point in the year. But we don't warm up on Sunday. It's gonna stay 50 all day with this very persistent, very steady and very damp rain that just sticks around until I'd say about six o'clock or so. So, if you have any brunch lunch, early dinner plans Sunday, I just don't see a lot of opportunity for dry time for you here. So we're gonna keep that in mind. Temperatures are not bad all the way through Monday. We're hanging out in the fifties. Today's high of 56 is the warmest that we've actually seen since mid November morning. Lows are in the forties, so no worries about frost. No worries about cold when you're stepping out the door. Tuesday morning, we're back down to 36. So that's kind of setting the stage for a cooler upcoming work week, 46 there, 43 on Wednesday and 42 on Thursday. It's not the coldest set we've seen, but it is definitely pretty chilly for that first night of Hanukkah. Expected to definitely feel like it is December, but we rebound a little bit next weekend with another chance for some rain. Just a little heads up on that. But the work week does look dry. Not that we want to talk about the work week on a Saturday, but that's how it's shaping up

A check of your local weather with storm watch team, meteorologist. H the good morning there. It's a great start to our day. Some fo is expected to dissipate as we head into the afternoon time frame. But notice our temperatures here very close to 60 degrees. That is a big departure from where we should be for this time as we tiptoeing into the month of December the first weekend of December and it does not feel like it now come, tomorrow will notice the rounds of showers heading from the overnight very early start. We're talking like 45 o'clock in the morning. That is pretty persistent throughout the first half of the day, especially right around 12 o'clock, we notice a little bit of decrease with the rain showers, but it will be on and off when it's all said and done. Notice our cumulation here close to an inch and some portions of the state, especially talking about Essex Union and Hudson counties, but it's cloudy and mild and I think that's really the silver lining for this weekend. It's gray, but it's still nice and warm and definitely great to head out with a little bit of less layering. Right as we head into the afternoon time frame, very close to 60 degrees. Today, the clouds will continue to build and thicken throughout the evening time frame. By the overnight, not truly impactful here, we'll notice some rain falling and then more pockets of heavier and moderate rainfall come in to play right around eight o'clock tomorrow morning. So if you are heading out for Sunday service, make sure that you grab your umbrella as you're heading out the door. As you'll notice it will feature a rainy day. Rounds of rain are potentially, I'm going to be impacting large portions of central and northern New Jersey, especially after two o'clock and heading into five things slowly start to improve.
