An intersection was co-named on Saturday for a woman who spent decades helping older adults in the Van Nest community.
Beatrice Castiglia Catullo Way was installed at the corner of Matthews and Morris Park avenue.
She was known as “Bea” and founded RAIN in 1964. The organization provides care and assistance for people ages 60 years and older, as well as those with disabilities.
Bea died in 2018 at the age of 101. Her family, including her granddaughter, were there for unveiling of the sign.
Councilmember Mark Gjonaj pushed the co-naming through City Hall.
