A laundromat in the Bronx teamed up with local nonprofits Sunday to give away food ahead of the upcoming holidays.

Boston Laundry Mart partnered with Uplife Foundation, which brought trucks of food. There was also a DJ at the event.

The laundromat says it's the first in the area to hold an event like this.

Uplife Foundation says it will be hosting another food giveaway Monday at 1 p.m. at 3511 Boston Rd.
