Bronx LGBTQ+ leader arrested for allegedly soliciting a minor for sex

A leader in the Bronx's LGBTQ+ community is now facing charges after police say she attempted to sexually abuse a minor.
Prosecutors say Lailani Muniz reached out to an underage boy online and arranged to meet up with him for a sexual encounter.
Muniz, a member of the trans community, set up a meeting with "Josh" at an apartment building in Bedford Park on Oct. 20. According to investigators, Muniz has been in contact with the teenage boy since March.
Muniz's charges include attempted sexual abuse and endangerment of a minor.
