Bronx man accused of brutally killing cat faces up to 7 years in prison

A 26-year-old Bronx man accused of brutally killing a cat may serve multiple years in prison if convicted, according to the Bronx district attorney.

Investigators say Daviid Mosley was arrested after posting a video online bragging about beating a cat to death in a ritualistic sacrifice.

He has since been charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, torturing and injuring animals and criminal mischief.

He faces up to seven years for the criminal mischief charges and up to two years for animal cruelty.
