A Bronx man was remanded without bail at his arraignment Monday on murder charges in the deaths of his wife and stepson.
Prosecutors accuse Antonio Robinson, 49, of killing his wife Sharon Epps, 50, and her son, 27-year-old Tyrell Bell. They were both found shot in the head Saturday by firefighters responding to reports of a gas leak in their building.
A memorial stands outside the Fulton Avenue apartment building where it happened.
Epps was a nurse. She had been married to Robinson for more than 10 years. Bell had recently found a job working for the city in transit.
Neighbors say Robinson and Bell argued frequently and accuse the stepfather of being a heavy drinker.
Robinson is due back in court on Oct. 7.
