Bronx man arrested, accused of raping 14-year-old girl in 2024

Police say a Bronx man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl in 2024.
Jayvone Johnson, 34, of Clinton Avenue, was taken into custody by the Bronx Special Victims Squad Dec. 21 around 6 p.m., nearly a year after the crime took place.
Authorities say the rape happened Dec. 23, 2024, in the 48th Precinct, which encompasses Belmont, East Tremont and West Farms. They did not provide an exact location or time.
Police say Johnson is charged with rape.
