Police: 22-year-old man fatally shot in Morris Heights

Police say a 22-year-old man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in Morris Heights.

Authorities say they got a 911 call at around 4:30 a.m. that a man had been shot in the head on Cedar Avenue.

Police said the man was taken to the hospital but died shortly after.

News 12 crews at the scene saw a gray BMW with a bullet hole in the rear passenger window. There was also damage to the front passenger door.

Police have not said who the car belongs to or how it’s connected to the shooting.

Police have not released the victim’s name yet.
