A Bronx man convicted of murdering his boss in cold blood will be serving decades behind bars, officials say.

Rafael Morato, 49, was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for the 2019 deadly shooting. Authorities say that Morato and his supervisor Ostilio Salerno, 44, got into a dispute at Morato's Morris Heights apartment in July of 2019.

When the conversation escalated, that's when police say Morato pulled the gun on his boss and fatally shot him twice in the stomach.

Morato was convicted of second-degree murder in March.
